Certificate in Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling course will teach you how to use all branches of ear candles safely and well for use with your family and for professional use with clients. We work with the Hopi Ear Candles in class.

This course is open to everybody who wishes to learn to use ear candles or as a post graduate course for those who wish to practice Hopi Ear Candling professionally. If you already hold a holistic therapy qualification that includes Anatomy & Physiology then this course is a post graduate professional training and you can gain insurance upon successful completion.

No previous knowledge or experience is required in order to learn
about ear candling.

The aim of the course is to train you to a very high level and by the end of our ear candling training you will have a confident detailed and broad knowledge of the principles of ear candling and how to carry out a complete treatment using ear candles.

Time: 9.45am to 5.30pm (1 hour for lunch)

Your teacher will hold a recognized teaching qualification and will have been trained and practiced in Ear Candling and be highly skilled.

The course consists of six strands:

  1. Theory of Ear Candling
  2. Practical Ear Candling
  3. Ear and facial massage
  4. Business elements
  5. Energetic principals of ear candling
  6. Energy management

Theory of Ear Candling

History, structure and content of the candle, anatomical structure of the ear, contraindications and considerations, client forms, illness and disorders of the ear. Analysis of ear candling. Possible client reactions. Courses of treatments and treating specific conditions.

Practical Ear Candling

Demonstration, observation and practice of giving and receiving an Ear Candling Treatment. Lighting the candles, working safely with the candles, extinguishing the candles, analyzing the flame and candle after treatment. Necessary equipment.

Ear and Facial Massage

A lovely ear and facial massage will be taught in order to enhance the effects of the treatment.

Looking after the client and after-care advice.

Energy Management

What to bring, how to book

1. Enrolment Form:  If you save the attached enrolment form to word (as a word document), type into it, save it again and then return to us via email then we will have all your details.

2. Step Two: Pay your deposit to secure a place - here are the details:

You are welcome to pay by any of the following methods:

  • Bank Transfer – please mail us for our bank details then you can transfer payment to our account (this is the recommended and most secure way to pay and leaves a very clear record of payment)
  • Credit Card - we will arrange  with you a good time to call you or for you to call us,  then card details over the telephone, receipts are emailed to you automatically form AIB
  • Cheque – made out to Green Tara College & posted or handed in to College
  • Postal Order  – made out to Green Tara College & posted or handed in to the address above.
  • Cash - pay in the  College itself before the course (please call first to confirm office opening times)

Deposit: To book, a minimum deposit of €50.00 is required or full fees paid. Full fees must be paid the week before the course

Arrival Time on First Day:  Registration will be from 9.30am, please arrive on time so we can start on time, thank you.

Lunch: There are a wide range of cafes, supermarkets in Navan suitable for all tastes or you are welcome to bring along a lunch.  Lunch will be one hour

Course Fee: €150.00  Deposit:  €95.00

Please Bring: One large bath towel, two hand towels,  T-shirt with straps, Hair-band and hair tie, short nails, hand wipes. We will be doing massage on the face so do bring your make-up remover or come along make up free.

Clothing: Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring slippers for indoors. Wear a strappy T-shirt so straps can easily be taken down.

Certificates:   Certificates will be awarded on successful completion of the course, please email the correct spelling of your name as you would like it printed on the Certificates if you have not already done so, thank you.

Previous Qualifications: If you hold a previous qualification (e.g. Massage Diploma with Anatomy & Physiology or Reflexology Diploma, beauty diploma) please bring a photocopy along which will be kept on file for insurance purposes.

Saturday classes only: We are situated in the center of town and all the long term car parks are within 5 - 10 min's walk. They are only €2.40 for the day otherwise parking is €1.30 per hour.  Please note that we cannot interrupt class for cars to be moved. Parking is free in the evenings and all day Sunday on any street.
